Someday I hope to figure out how to tell a true precognitive dream from the normal kind. Predicting the future has been done in dreams, but I've never experienced it.

I will say that, in some cases, we get clues about things that we don't quite perceive on a conscious level. But we do notice it, and the part of the mind which makes dreams can try to communicate it to us.

In your dream, you miss something very important because of your car breaking down. It's quite possible that your vehicle has been behaving just a little bit off lately - not so much that you notice, but enough that your subconscious sees a problem down the road if it isn't taken care of. If, like me, you tend to put off routine maintenance (like oil changes or new tires), then you might want to make sure that this is done before you need the car for something really important.

But I'd also like to break this dream down to its basic components. You miss the concert - no fault of your own - and end up having dinner and a conversation with the singer. On a basic level, you have been denied something that you looked forward to - and were unable to keep a promised date - but in the end it works out fine because you communicated the problem.

In addition to getting your car tuned up and safety-checked, you might want to see if there are any promises you were unable to keep lately, and talk to the other parties involved.
